THC Infused Exploding Popcorn
Hello Friends! Have you been wondering what’s the perfect recipe for your Halloween party? Yes, me too and I finally found it, exploding popcorn! What’s exploding popcorn? Let’s dig into what constitutes this popping candy. The general ingredients are sugar, corn syrup, water, flavoring, THC and carbon dioxide gas. First, hard candy is made and then it is pressurized with carbon dioxide and cooled. When it’s cool, the pressure is released, and huzzah, all of the candy shatters, yet the carbon dioxide is still encapsulated in teeny tiny little bubbles in the candy, hence the popping! It’s the perfect addition to any Halloween potluck and it’s super easy!
For this recipe, I sprinkled the popcorn with Drip Exploding Rockz 10mg bag, and it turned out amazing, it had that popping effect and everything! These come in cherry, green apple, and grape flavors; 10mg bags for recreational and 100mg bags for medical patients. Drop by your favorite dispensary to ask for your perfect dose and flavor. Remember to pick up 2 - 4 bags depending on how medicated and/or explosive you want your popcorn to be. Also, here’s your warning: because this recipe reminds me of those delicious yogurt pretzels, I suggest making an extra batch to keep at home. Happy Halloween!

Tools to make this recipe: measuring cups/spoons, scale, small & large bowl, sheet tray, microwave, rubber spatula.
Ingredients
1 bag Candy Melts, white, 1lb
2 Tbsp Coconut Oil
4 oz Popped Popcorn
2-4 packets Drip Exploding Rockz, preferred dosage & flavor
As desired sprinkles, halloween theme
Instructions
The medication. Think about how medicated you want to make your popcorn bowl. This recipe can be dosed as low as 20mg, about 2.5mg/cup, for the whole bowl, or up to 400mg, about 50mg/cup, if you’re a medical patient. Plan accordingly and let your guests know what dosage they’re in for!
The process. Measure all of your ingredients. In a plastic bowl, microwave the candy melts on 40% power for 1 min, mixing half way through, once melted add the coconut oil. Add more time in the microwave as needed, but don’t exceed 50% power. If you forget to change the power setting and your candy has hardened, add the coconut oil still and this will thin out the candy melts. Pour over the top of the popcorn and coat evenly with spatula. Pour out onto a sheet tray. Crush the packets of exploding rockz, mix with halloween theme sprinkles and evenly sprinkle over the popcorn and toss for 1-2 minutes to make sure the exploding rockz are evenly coating the popcorn. Allow to dry overnight, ensuring your popcorn has time to dry; if it’s wet it won’t pop.
