THC-Infused Aussie Minis
Who here has been anticipating an adventure? Yeah, me too!! It's April, which means 4/20 is right around the corner and so is summertime, so let's take a moment and think about that perfect getaway snack. You'll definitely want to pack some delicious munchies for the trip. You've likely tried these or at least heard about them from Costco, a pantry staple for all-day munchies. Here's a pretty simple recipe that is almost like the original. I infused these Aussie bites with an Aeriz Dablicator. I enjoy the Aeriz Dablicators because they are nice and easy to infuse into your recipe, since you can see exactly how much you're using and it comes already activated. This is certainly one of my favorite infused ingredients to use in my recipes. This recipe makes 24 Aussie bites, so there's plenty to share around. To make this happen: make an adventure plan, stop by your fave dispensary, and then get to it… because once you're done baking it's time for your adventure! Happy 4/20 friends!
Yield: 24
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Tools to make this recipe: food processor, measuring cups, measuring spoons, spatula, bowls, mini muffin tray
1 ¾ cup rolled oats
¼ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup dried apricots
¼ cup raisins
¼ cup ground flaxseed
¼ cup unsalted sunflower seeds
¼ cup unsweetened shredded coconut
¼ cup cooked quinoa
2 tablespoons hemp seeds
¼ teaspoon baking soda
¼ cup honey, melted
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
¼ cup coconut oil
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Think about how medicated you would like each mini to be. This recipe makes 24 minis using 1 - Aeriz Dablicator… doesn't matter the strain, whichever one speaks to you is good. If you use the entire syringe, that equals 33 mg per mini. Consider if that dosage is right for you. If you’d like, you can double the recipe for all the other ingredients to cut the potency in half, or you could add another Aeriz Dablicator to double the potency. Whatever way you choose, just make sure you write down any changes.
First you’ll need to infuse your Dablicator oil into your butter. You will need a crockpot, set it on low and make a water bath. Fill the crockpot with just enough water to cover the height of the butter you are infusing. Add the butter to the mason jar and add the contents of 1 Dablicator to the melted butter. Cover the jar with foil and place into your warm water bath. Cover the crockpot in foil to keep the heat in. Cook and mix periodically for 1.5 hours, so that the concentrate fully dissolves and the butter looks uniform in color. Your butter is now ready to use.
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Using coconut oil, sparingly grease the inside of the muffin tray. In a food processor add 1 cup of rolled oats. Run the food processor for about a minute so that you have oat flour. Add the remaining oats, sugar, dried apricots, raisins, flax seed, sunflower seeds, coconut, quinoa, chia seeds, and baking soda. Process the apricots and raisins until they are tiny. Next add your honey, butter, coconut oil, and vanilla extract. Pulse it all together until combined.
Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden on top. Once golden, take out of the oven and allow to cool in the pan, so it retains the shape of the pan. This helps, so that the mini doesn't crumble. If this happens, use it as granola on top of ice cream, etc.
Relax and enjoy your adventure! Store in an airtight container for 4 to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
Notes:
Dairy-free: Substitute Country Crock Plant Butter for the butter.
Add-ins: ¼ cup Mini chocolate chips. Up to ½ cup. Add it before scooping the batter.
Substitutions: If you're allergic to any ingredients, you may increase the amount of dry fruits or oats. Sub agave syrup for honey.
