THC-Infused Agua de Jamaica

One of my favorite drinks with spicy tacos is Agua de Jamaica. It’s cool and refreshing, sweet and a little sour. I prefer the fast method below, because who wants to wait til tomorrow? We have kids, so we dose our beverages individually, but you can definitely dose the whole thing. Just be careful that you do a little thinking before you put too much or too little. It’s always easier to dose by the glass to make sure you get what you’re expecting. I like the Drip Oils 1:1 drops because they are easy to mix in, potent and flavorless. 


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Flor de Jamaica (hibiscus flower)

  • ¼ - ½ cup Cane sugar (depending on taste)

  • 3-4 cups Water

  • Ice

  • 1:1 Premium Cannabis Tincture by Drip Oils & Extracts


Instructions (Slow method)

  1. In a pitcher or large bottle, add the hibiscus flower, 4 cups of water and sugar

  2. Leave in the refrigerator for at least half an hour, or better overnight

  3. Strain out the hibiscus flower

  4. Fill a cup with ice, add your tincture and pour your tea over 

  5. Enjoy!


Instructions (Fast method)

  1. Bring 3 cups of water to a boil in a large saucepan

  2. Pour the boiling water over the hibiscus flower and let steep for 10 mins

  3. Strain the hibiscus flower

  4. Add the sugar and stir until dissolved

  5. Add a handful of ice to cool it down a bit

  6. Fill a cup with ice, add your tincture and pour your tea over 

  7. Enjoy!
