Texas Police Strike a Blow Against Marijuana Trafficking with Big Seizure
In a recent drug bust in New Braunfels, Texas, police seized 11 pounds of marijuana and $260,000 in cash from a vehicle. According to the New Braunfels Police Department, three individuals were arrested in connection with the seizure.
The arrests were made after police received a tip about a suspicious vehicle parked in a hotel parking lot. Upon investigation, officers discovered the large amount of cash and marijuana in the vehicle.
The suspects, who were all from out of state, were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and money laundering. The police department noted that this seizure was a significant blow to the illegal drug trade in the area.
This seizure comes amid a growing trend of drug busts and seizures across the country as law enforcement cracks down on the illegal sale and distribution of marijuana. As more states legalize cannabis for medical and recreational use, law enforcement is working to ensure that illegal activity is kept in check.
While some may argue that the illegal sale and distribution of marijuana should be decriminalized or legalized, it remains a serious offense in many states. As such, law enforcement will continue to target individuals and groups involved in the illegal drug trade.
