Prince Paul: A Prince Among Thieves
This album is the perfect definition of a “Five Roach Hammerlock”. From beginning to end this album plays just like a movie. It follows the lead character by the name of Tariq, an up and coming emcee who has landed the meeting of a lifetime with Wu-Tang clan leader The RZA. This gem is supported by an array of characters that are played by some of my favorite emcee’s of all time. Some of the names include Kool Keith, Big Daddy Kane, Chubb Rock, Biz Markie, De La Soul, Everlast, Sadat X, Xzibit, Kid Creole, Special Ed, Chris Rock, RZA and Buckshot. The plot thickens when Tariq’s friend True gets involved. Packed with unmatched production and lyrics to go with it, this is truly a Hip-Hopera masterpiece.
