Myrcene | Cannabis Terpene
Illustrated by Irene Llorente
Myrcene is found in thyme, hops, mango, lemongrass, and Cannabis. One of the most dominant of the terpenes found in marijuana, it is most credited with accentuating the beneficial effects of other terpenes found in the strain. The sedative, pain killing effect of indica strains is generally attributed to the high amounts of Myrcene which generally defines indica strains. As with all monoterpenes, it is a natural antibiotic and antifungal. It’s earthy, musky smell gives complexity and depth to the flavor of your marijuana as you enjoy it.
