Is RSO Illegal in AZ?
Dear Mama, I use RSO for my chronic health issues. Is that part of what is now illegal?
Sick of this confusion
Dear Sick of this…
Me too! I’m sick of this and I use RSO too! I recommend talking directly with the shop where you purchase it. They can guide you through the process. There is a loophole in the wording that describes the process of the separation of the plant from its other compounds. If the dispensary can support that they are making their RSO via an approved process, and they will support you with the defense fund in purchasing the RSO, that may be the risk you need to take. Remember, I am not a lawyer, and I’m not giving any legal advice in this column. You would have to ask a lawyer for legal advice.
Personally, when I need RSO for pain issues, it is to keep me out of the emergency room. I will be purchasing mine from a licensed store that can tell me they use a process that is legally covered under my AMMA card (your pot card). I will then put it in my trunk to drive it directly home and put it away for when I need it. If I were a cancer patient half way through a cancer protocol using RSO and my life depended on continuing my treatment, I would probably keep purchasing RSO as well.
Be sure to talk with your shop and get guidance from them as well on how they are legally selling their RSO. Their license is at risk if they are not selling you a properly prepared medicine, so I would assume they are able to explain how RSO is legal under their license. If you don’t “need” RSO and can wait till things are more stable, yeah that’s easy. But I haven’t met many people using RSO for any reason other than they need to. It sure isn’t the ease of use or taste, am I right?
Be safe and hang in there. Hopefully it will get worked out soon.
Mama
