Hello Friends! With Halloween right around the corner, let's have some fun. My thoughts are going to pumpkin patches, and getting together with your friends and family to go pick that perfect one. You'll even likely find a haunted maze or two, which is the inspiration for this month's recipe. I love Halloween, and carving a jack-o'-lantern to put next to the front door. Here's my spin on Halloween this year… let's make it easy, delicious, and portable by doing popcorn pumpkin balls! A spin on your traditional popcorn ball, these are infused with Chronic Health THC Glycerin tincture, 1oz, 400mg, Sativa. I like to use the sativa option when serving these at a party, and indica when I'm using them to help with sleep. Make sure to stop by your favorite dispensary and get a bottle or 2! So, pick your mood, and let’s get cooking. Bring on the cooler weather, bring on the spooky, bring on the strange. Now, get your friends together to share in these delicious treats while you watch your all time favorite scary movies. Boo!

Yield: 12 Pumpkin balls

Prep Time: 40 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Tools to make this recipe: 1 large pot, spoon, measuring cup, measuring spoon, gloves, spatula

13 cups popped popcorn (plain) + 1 cup extra

16 oz marshmallows

½ cup butter

1 oz cannabis tincture, Halo THC Tincture, 400mg

1 teaspoon vanilla extact

orange food coloring (optional)

1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (optional)

1 bag pretzel rods

cooking spray

Instructions:

  1. Think about how medicated you would like each pumpkin ball to be. This recipe makes 12 - 33mg pumpkin balls. For this recipe, use 1 bottle of tincture; use less if you want a lower dose. Consider what dosage is right for you before you do decide, and make a note.

  2. Melt the butter and marshmallows together on low-medium heat in a large pot. Once melted about half way, add your tincture and vanilla extract. Then start incorporating the orange food coloring. Start with 2-3 drops to begin coloring the marshmallow mixture; add more color as needed. Make sure your mixture is fully combined. Remember, this is your medication, so mix thoroughly to ensure that the medication is evenly distributed.

  3. Add the first 13 cups of popcorn to the large pot. Stir until the popcorn is evenly coated with marshmallow. If there is excess marshmallow and you feel it needs it, add the extra cup of popcorn to more evenly distribute the medication. Stir until the popcorn is evenly coated. Remove from heat.

  4. Put on gloves and coat your gloves with cooking spray. Grab handfuls of popcorn until you have 12 balls. You can eyeball them so that they are equal in size. Alternatively, if you have a scale, you can weigh the entire popcorn marshmallow mass and divide that amount in 12 to see how much each popcorn ball should weigh. Smoosh each ball a little bit, and put a broken off end of a pretzel rod in the top to mimic the stem of the pumpkin.

  5. Serve and enjoy!

Notes:

Dairy-free: Substitute Country Crock Plant-based butter sticks.
