Infused Orange Cream Pie
Are you wondering what you can make this summer that is light and fluffy and just refreshing, plus an added bonus of it being medicated? Maybe you need an easy recipe for Father's Day. Well, I have the recipe for you: Infused Orange Cream Pies! These wonderful treats feature a chocolate graham cracker/cashew crust, with infused blood orange cheesecake topped with whipped cream. The ingredients for this recipe happen to be dairy free and they are amazing together. Another fantastic addition to the recipe is Award Winning Chronic Health Cannabis Tincture. This one is perfect for relaxing on a weekend with friends or without. Honestly, you might be thinking, hey, let's share… but once you try it, you'll be like, ummm, maybe not! This recipe uses all dairy free ingredients, which happens to be a lot lighter than your traditional dairy version and perfect for summer. Ingredients
Crust
1 cup crushed graham cracker cookie
½ cup chopped nuts
¼ cup sugar
5 tbsp butter, melted
Orange cheesecake
8 oz Philadelphia Plant-based Cream Cheese, softened
½ cup blood orange juice or any OJ
12 oz sweetened condensed coconut milk
1 bottle Chronic Health THC Glycerin Tincture
Whip cream
1 cup Country Crock Plant Cream
3 tbsp powdered sugar
¼ cup chopped nuts/cookie pieces
Instructions
The medication. Think about how much medication you want each pie to be. Depending on if you want them around 50mg or 100 mg a piece determines if you need 1 or 2 bottles. Since you end up with 8 mini pies, if you want 50mg pies, use 1 tincture. Alternatively, if you want 100mg pies, use 2 tinctures.
The crust. Mix together the crushed cookies, chopped nuts, sugar, and melted butter. Portion evenly into 8 short glasses.
The cheesecake and whip cream.
Using a mixer, beat the cream cheese until smooth, make sure to bring up the bottom of the bowl and keep beating until there are no lumps. Next, mix in the sweetened condensed coconut milk, orange juice, and Chronic Health's Tincture. Beat together until blended. Pour over the crusts and refrigerate for at least 6 hours. Once set, whip the Country Crock Plant-based Cream together with powdered sugar until peaks form. Use an ice cream scoop to top and garnish the pie with cream, nuts, and orange zest.
Notes:
Variations: Try different berry/cookie combinations to achieve different flavor profiles.
Dairy-free: dairy-free cream cheese for the cream cheese. I like to use Simple Truth Organic Plant-based Cream Cheese or Philadelphia Plant-based Cream Cheese from Fry’s. You’ll also want to use Country Crock Plant-based Cream instead of the heavy cream to make your whip cream.
