Infused Granny Smith Tartlets | Cannabis Recipe
Ingredients:
180 grams Cold Flour 90 grams Frozen Butter 45 grams Cold Water 2 grams Salt 2 Granny Smith Apples 1 Egg Brown Sugar Fresh Rosemary (or bud leaves) Baked Bros Syrup (any flavor)
Directions:
1. Sift the flour into a bowl, then evenly distribute the salt.
2. Drop the whole piece of butter into the flour and coat well. Grate the frozen butter into the flour, occasionally mixing it together loosely so the tiny butter pieces don’t stick to themselves. Keep coating the large piece of butter with the flour to keep it from sticking and melting.
3. Trickle the water in and loosely mix with a spoon until it starts to form a pretty rough looking lump of dough. Now, quickly use your hands to press all of the dough together into a single mass, trying not to knead it or melt the butter. Simply compact it into one lump. Don’t worry, it will be ugly.
4. Wrap in plastic and put the lump in the freezer while you thinly slice the apple. I leave the peel on, but that’s up to you.
5. Take the dough out and gently roll it out on a lightly floured surface. If it sticks to the counter, use a large knife to lift it off and then gently dust with flower. The less you play with it, the better. It should be about the thickness of cardboard.
6. Cut out your shapes and top with thin slices of apple. Paint the edges with egg and sprinkle a touch of brown sugar and rosemary on top.
7. Bake at 385° for 15-20 minutes until they look delicious.
8. Drizzle your dose of Baked Bros Syrup on top and enjoy! I like cherry.
