Frosty’s Freshtival

July 10th & 11th, 2020 Friday July, 10th | VIP Dinner @ Guyutes 730 NW 23rd St. OKC Saturday July, 11th | Event @ Dab & Go Dispensary 5 SE 89th St. Oklahoma City, OK 73149

Frosty’s Freshtival is traveling to cities around the nation and the next stop is July 10th & 11th in beautiful Oklahoma City. The Dab & Go dispensary is hosting our closest heady friends for a blowout sesh. Huge glassblowers in the game are coming together to show their craft. FrostysFresh continues to help give back to the community by uniting fans of glass and glass artists alike. The line-up includes artists Hoodrattshit, Rob Morrison, Rosburg Glass, and of course the dude himself, FrostysFresh. They will be flying in from around the country to make this a special occasion. Each individual glassblower brings their own flavor and unique designs to the table. One thing is for sure, this will be a special day for Oklahoma glass lovers.

One thing all of these gentlemen have in common is their intense passion for the craft of creating glass works of art. I was stoked to get the opportunity to speak with each glassblower on behalf of The Cannabis Cactus Magazine. Here’s what the guys had to say about partnering with us to make his events as memorable as possible…

Hoodrattshit (Riverside,CA)

My inspiration comes from toy collectors, graffiti characters, and cartoons. I like to try and mash those all together. I kind of just freestyle it- I have a general idea and I go for it. Instagram @hoodrattshit

Rob Morrison (Eugene,OR)

I grew up on Sesame Street, a child of the 70’s. The muppets are extremely popular. Making them into glass was effective in making me popular, which I am thankful for. The cows are new work and come from my own head. I celebrate the difference in each one rather than adhering to the strict guidelines of a muppet. The colors, shapes, stories I can tell with animals is liberating. Instagram @robmorrison

Rosburg Glass (Portland,OR)

I’m definitely passionate about burgers! Passionate about all food really, but the fascination with burgers happened at a very early age, due to a sticker pack that I got as a gift as a kid. They were reusable stickers that had all the fixings. You could build your own burger along with a knight in shiny armor battling a fire breathing dragon with the burger being guarded as treasure. I remember slaying the dragon by cutting its head off and taking the burger as my prize. Funny the things you remember from childhood. I never get tired of making them, whether in the kitchen or the glass shop. Instagram @rosburgglass

FrostysFresh (Phoenix,AZ)

My name comes from when I grew weed. I would harvest every two weeks non-stop so my weed was always Frosty and Fresh, thus I came up with FrostysFresh. After the raids on my grow I decided to keep my name as a fuck you to the police and anyone else that was looking down on what I did. Life was turned upside down three years ago, but that hasn’t stopped me from continuing to do what I love. Instagram @FrostysFresh

Frosty’s Freshtival was created with the vision of sharing my work live and in person with the customers that support my art. My Goal is to travel from state to state, and eventually work my way overseas! Ultimately, I wanted to create a show that people remember and had a good time attending. Much Love!

This event creates opportunities such as the community coming together, and providing a fun time for all while providing a glimpse into the actual glassblowing. If you’re unable to make it to the event there’s the opportunity of checking each glassblower out on social media, such as instagram. Each glassblower has their own page loaded with content of their work. Thank you and much love to Frosty, HoodRattShit, Rob Morrison, and Rosburg Glass for making this event possible. This is Dietrich and Mikey from Cannabis Cactus Magazine saying thanks for reading and stay heady folks!
